About Us

iau is an interactive design studio driven by ideas and enabled by technology, working across brand spaces, commercial exhibitions, and public cultural environments. We are less interested in whether something is “interactive,” and more concerned with why people choose to engage—and what remains after the experience.

Today, most installations are already interactive by default. What’s rare is an experience that makes people stay, capture, and share. Our work focuses on turning these behaviors into something that can be intentionally designed.

We create

We create experiences that don’t just happen

Design Approach

We design from human perception, not from technology.

Every project begins with an understanding of how people perceive space. In different contexts, we construct specific experiential perspectives and use them to organize both visual language and interaction logic. For instance, in an autonomous driving–related project, we approached the design from the perspective of “how a machine sees the world,” allowing the experience to reflect the logic of the technology itself, rather than a superficial display of features.

Creativity & Technology

Ideas and execution must hold true at the same time.

Our team brings together both artistic and technical backgrounds, with members from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Goldsmiths, University of London, as well as researchers in interaction design—enabling a full pipeline from concept to execution. This allows us to evaluate ideas not only by how they are expressed, but also by whether they can be realistically realized. Rather than relying on technical excess, we evaluate feasibility early—ensuring alignment between concept and final execution.

Experience Logic

We design for participation, not observation.

We constantly test our work against three questions: • Is the idea immediately clear? • Does the interaction happen naturally? • Will people capture and share it? These factors determine whether an experience can evolve from happening to spreading.

Outcomes

Not a one-time effect, but an experience that extends beyond the moment.

Our work spans brand spaces, commercial exhibitions, and public cultural contexts—from large-scale architectural projections to spatial interactive installations and long-term experiential environments. Rather than short-lived visual impact, we care about whether the experience continues beyond the site—whether it is shared, reused, and integrated into the brand over time.
